BEIRUT: Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour called Sunday on the Arab League to implement decisions taken in past years against Israel, including a trade, economic and diplomatic boycott of the Jewish state.
?Despite an accumulation and a repetition of decisions and recommendations by the Arab Ministerial Council over several years, Israel is still working to change demography, annexation of [Arab] lands and the building of settlements,? Mansour said in a TV interview. ?Israel is still saying no [to peace].
Israel?s aggression against Arab peoples is continuing when it refuses to dismantle settlements,? he added. ?As chairman of the Arab Ministerial Council, what I am demanding is the implementation of the decisions and a trade, economic and diplomatic boycott of Israel, especially since they are decisions taken by Arab states,? Mansour said.
On the nearly 2-year bloody conflict in Syria, the minister called for dialogue between the regime and ?national opposition? to resolve the crisis. ?Eventually, every military action will end up in a political solution,? he said.
